Went down to bass ponds after work today, hoping I’d maybe see the Bittern that was spotted there recently, but I did not.
I did see a Fox Sparrow, and also a nice view of a female Rusty Blackbird foraging in the little creek that comes out of the culvert at the junction of trails, the spot where you can go right to go on hogback trail or left to head toward the foot bridge.. https://flic.kr/p/2o23qXW I also saw a Canvasback and Ruddy Duck on Long Meadow Lake.
