Given the camera I use for bird photography is not an expensive DSLR camera 
with a long 
reach lens, I thought folks might be interested in a review of the Canon SX60 
(my camera). 
While I recognize that a DSLR and high quality long reach lens provides the 
best photos 
possible, that option is also quite expensive, and may not be within the budget 
reach of 
many birders.

The Canon SX60 is a "bridging high zoom" camera which costs about $500. It's 
top zoom is 
a 35mm 1365 mm equivalent. Read my full review over on my blog. Photographic

days ago over at Sax-Zim Bog are included with the post. The only change in the 
"afters" 
was to increase the clarity / sharpness using Photoshop Elements ($60).
