Hi All—
I got all excited that I had banded a hybrid Black-throated Green x
Townsend’s warbler hybrid on Saturday. My blog this morning explains why
it probably is not a hybrid, but just a very good-looking Black-throated
Green.

Oh this time of the year is incredible!
We just watched a Black-Throated Green Warbler hop from pine tree to
pine tree in our front yard!
An Indigo Bunting is back along with the Great Crested Flycatcher.
Life is good!

I was on the U of M campus about 4:30 this afternoon in Hennepin Countyand took
a walk on the trail below East River Parkway. There was a small flock of WB
nuthatches and BC Chickadees making a lot of noise and then there was a quick
wave of other birds coming in. I didn't have enough time to
One singing at the District Nursery (Crow Hassan) this afternoon.
