The majority of Black Dog Lake in Dakota County from the west to the east outflow is now open. This afternoon besides the numbers of overwintering Mallard, Common Goldeneye, Common and Hooded Mergansers and the Belted Kingfisher seen I observed a good variety of migrants on the lake.
