At Park Point this morning, October 1, the Minn Birding Weekends group found an adult male Black Scoter on the L Superior side of Park Point from the 12th St access. From the same location we also observed a possible small loon (perhaps the previously reported Pacific Loon), but our views were too brief and distant for a positive ID.

Then on the lake late this afternoon out from the Park Point Recreation Area, a very distant unidentified jaeger was seen (probably one of the Parasitics reported a week ago). About the same time, a female-plumaged Black Scoter flew by, and there were 5 Am White Pelicans swimming out on the lake. Yesterday, Sept 30, there was a Buff-breasted Sandpiper here on the beach, but we did not relocate it today.
