A female Black Scoter and 2 female White-winged Scoters were observed this early afternoon on the Mississippi River by Bill Bronn, Ken Marble, and myself. The viewing spot was along Hwy. 61 at the sign reading “Maple Springs”, which is only on the river side of the highway, several miles downriver from Lake City.
