Lots of birds moving around Benton, Mille Lacs and Sherburne Counties today,
mostly waterfowl, hawks and blackbirds.  Canada geese and trumpeter swans
flying every which way.  One group of 4 Canada geese had a snow goose with them
- that was at the refuge this morning.

Red-tails, a couple of rough-legged and a northern harrier were also at the
refuge today.  Had my first Eastern Bluebirds today, one in Benton County and
one in Mille Lacs County.  Lots of red-winged blackbirds in the cattail marshes
along Hwy. 23, and also saw my first spring grackles.

Keep it up, Mother Nature!
