*Effects of Harvesting Native Grasslands for Alternative Fuels on Birds and Small Mammals in Western Minnesota * Presented by *Bob Dunlap *U of M: Fisheries, Wildlife and Conservation Biology Some grassland birds and small mammals exhibit short- term changes in abundance following harvesting of native grasslands for biofuels. Planting native biofuel grasslands creates habitat for a wide variety of prairie wildlife, but it is important to harvest these grasslands in intensities that result in the least amount of damage to wildlife populations and communities. *When*: Thursday, April 25, 2013 @ 7:30pm Please join us from 7:00-7:30 pm to socialize over cookies.
