An Eastern Towhee continues to show up at the feeders of Jeff Schultz, who lives near the town of Ottertail in Otter Tail County. The feeders cannot be seen from a public road, and there is a long driveway to the farmstead. So if you're interested in visiting his Towhee, you'll need to contact him.

We tried UNsuccessfully to see the bird a couple of days ago, but today it showed up within five minutes (at 2:00 pm) and stayed for long looks. With the cold snap, it seems to be feeding more regularly. There does not seem to be (at least, to us) anything to suggest that the bird is a hybrid.

An additional bonus: a field full of loafing Trumpeter Swans (100+) just east of the town of Ottertail on Hwy 108 in a corn field on the north side of the road.
