Went out with a falconer in Dickinson Co. Iowa and saw a covey of around a dozen that apparently knew what to do just before a falcon was put up over them. I wonder if the winter weather we've had thus far will knock back their population levels again. As I understand it, they were just beginning to recover from a bad winter about 8 years ago.
