Hi All—

Erika and I took a late afternoon stroll in the East Unit of the Cannon
Valley Wilderness Area just south of Northfield, Rice Co.  We saw 9 species
of warblers, but what was interesting is that many fed on the ground.
Ground feeders included restarts, Blackburnian and Black-throated Green
warblers. We suspect this relatively unusual feeding stratum was due to the
chilly temperatures (50s) and high winds (gusts up to 40 mph).  Photos are
