Starting two weeks ago we have had an amazing number of Gold and House Finches coming to our 14 feeders and heated bird baths in Minnetonka near Ridgedale. Yesterday I counted 115 birds at one time, high counts were 87 American Goldfinches 25 House Finches also 8 N Cardinals 4 Mourning Doves 1 Chipping Sparrow 1 Song Sparrow 4 species of woodpecker nut hatches, chickadees, jays ect. I'm grateful we can afford to keep the feeders full. Happy Holiday to all birds and birders! Ken Larson
