I was just thinking about Jo yesterday. I've known her since I moved here
in 1981, but got to know her best in Costa Rica in 2001, when Mike Mulligan
organized a trip there. This was the first foreign trip for Jo and me both.
She was always warm and encouraging to me, and never egotistical or
