The Lester River from the mouth of Lake Superior up to Superior Street is full of birds this morning. Newly fledged Kingfishers are learning how to fish. A huge flock of cedar waxwings are gorging themselves on the berries in the trees, and a brood of newly hatched common merganser chicks are present.
