Hey Birders, The Minnesota State Fair will be running from August 23rd through Sept 3rd, (Labor Day). Volunteering at the MOU bird booth is one of my favorite things at the fair. I have done this for about six years and fill a couple of shifts on different days. Most people want to ask about a yard bird, or a bird they saw up at the cabin. You don't need to be an expert birder to fill in a shift. "I don't know, let's look it up" is a perfectly acceptable answer. Plus, you get a free ticket to the fair. You don't need to be a member. Please, come to the fair and help spread the joy of birding.
