Thanks to a tip from Garrett Wee with his eBird report from last weekend, the Minn Birding Weekends group saw a nice concentration of 1000s of waterfowl at Miedd L this morning. These included an estimated 2800 Gr White-fronted Geese, at least 10 Ross's Geese mixed in with 100 or so Snows, 240 Tundra Swans, along with a wide variety of puddle ducks. To reach Miedd Lake WMA from Hanley Falls, go 6 mi W on CR 18, 2 mi S on CR 8, then jog a bit W and then S to the east side of the WMA.
