While driving back from Koochiching County I saw many Night Hawks migrating
South through
Itasca, Beltrami, Hubbard and Cass County. The Maples in Koochiching are
rapidly turning into
their Fall colors and the insect eating birds are on the move. A good
I saw dozens of night hawks around St. Stephen MN today at5:30 pm

Many, many , many Night Hawks are going North on the Mississippi in Little
Falls. Warblers are not in high count and all the local birds seem to be
here. It still was nice going out on a windless evening and listening to a
Barred Owl calling. Schools out next week and I will be on the run again
