I had over 40 species this morning in a half mile walk at Willow Creek
Reservoir, Olmsted County. Including my FOY towhee, field sparrow,
multiples of both yellowlegs. Things were hopping!

At the 2 eastern reservoirs there were among others over 300 white fronted
geese, 8 snow geese, 4 cackling geese , 4 tundra swans and many ducks including
green winged real, ring necked, redhead, canvasback, common goldeneye, common
merganser, gadwall, northern shoveler and mallards. Eastern mea
Jim Peterson and I stopped by the south kalmar landfill reservoir and saw 9
Ross's geese along with est. 50 Greater White-fronted geese. Then we drove
over to the east kalmar reservoir and saw a huge flock of geese, mostly
sitting on the ice. The reservoir is 90% frozen and a few geese were along
Chris Hockema called to inform me that brother John Hockema has relocated the
Cinnamon Teal at the Silver Creek Reservoir Wednesday morning. I believe he is
viewing it from the north side (ie, 23rd St. NE just east of it's intersection
with 55th Ave. NE).

The Cinnamon Teal found by Lance Vrieze at the north side of Silver Creek

The previously reported Cinnamon Teal was relocated this morning @ 8 am on the
north side of the Silver Creek Reservoir near Rochester in Olmsted County.

There were two Ross's Geese, one dark phase Snow Goose and several Cackling

Acadian Flycatchers have been located in Olmsted County at a Forestry
Management Unit south of Marion. Marion is located on Highway 52 just south
