This morning Maureen & I covered 7+ miles of Wm O'Brien's trails on the west side of Hwy. 95.  For the most part there weren't a lot of birds, but we had some interesting finds. Just the best: Am. Bittern - FOY Sora - 2, heard only Horned Grebe - 1 on the pond inside the Prairie Overlook Trail

I had two pine warblers on territory in Longville, Cass County on April 24. I also have black-capped chickadees building in a bluebird house in the middle of my yard. This seemed quite odd considering we are surrounded by woods with many dead and dying trees. A merlin is back again making a
