This morning I showed two birdwatchers around the length of Park Point. We
had some great views of two Snow Buntings, as well as some overhead Red
Crossbills feeding in the mature white pines just beyond the airport. No
waxwings were noted. Below is my eBird list from the end of Park Point this

Early this morning I birded along Park Point, and happened to run into Jan
and Larry Kraemer! We had a fun time birding together. On the lake side we
had brief views of Buff-breasted Sandpiper and a likely Semipalmated
Sandpiper. On the bay side we had a Spotted Sandpiper and a Semipalmated
Plover.
I took a walk along the end of Park Point this morning. It's a bit of a
walk (about 5 miles round-trip walk from the end parkinglot, to the
Superior entry, and back). Shorebird activity included one lone
Semipalmated Plover. A gorgeous juvenile Cooper's Hawk was patrolling up
and down the beach tod
