Way off topic for a Minnesota listserv, but I'm wondering if anyone here can
answer questions / provide information on birding in Corpus Christi in April.
I'm hoping to make a whirlwind trip there this spring, and advice on what
places are must-see for a Minnesotan hoping for lifers, lodging tips (budget!),
how much time to plan at a location, non-birding attractions worth seeing, what
restaurant in the area has the absolute hottest Texan fare (Bring it on! The
hotter the better!), etc are on my mind.

I posted to the Texas listserv (actually asking about Galveston, but some
birders who replied talked me into trying CC instead for greater diversity,
fewer hurricane damage issues), but I received almost TOO much information from
Texas birders. It's tough to sort through the numerous sites they provided,
especially since I am probably looking for somewhat different birds than a
local might...and most people know diddly about the lodging options in their
backyards. Thanks.
