FALL BIRDING IN THE SAX-ZIM BOG—FIELD TRIP

Tuesday Sept 17th

7am to 10 am or so.

Leader/s: Dave Benson and possibly Lars Benson (Father-son Dynamic Duo!)

Meet outside of the Wilbert Cafe in Cotton MN at 7am (Feel free to come early
and have breakfast at the Wilbert...A proud supporter of FOSZB!). The trip will
leave from there and return to there. Carpooling.

Cost: FREE to members (if you've given $20 or more to FOSZB in the last 12
months) $20 for non-members BUT this becomes your year-membership so all other
field trips will be free!

The Sax-Zim Bog is not birded in the fall very often...And this is not for lack
of birds to see! We may encounter a sparrow or warbler wave.

Magpies are always possible. Migrating hawks? Maybe a Sharp-tailed Grouse...who
knows?

Sandhill Cranes will likely be foraging in the hayfields.

And of course we'll search for an early-morning Great Gray!

The fun is in the search.
