Hi All-- Erika and I enjoyed a marvelous Friday drive to Sherburne NWR. While we did not see all 5352 cranes counted by refuge personnel, we did see several hundred. We were surprised that we could get fairly close to the birds (although, when viewing cranes, we remained in the car). Photographs are on my blog: http://dantallmansbirdblog.blogspot.com
Our total bird list on the refuge was 25.
