I want to modify my post from yesterday. A combination of lack of
experience and poor lighting led me too overestimate the number of birds I
saw. I tried using mainly bill shape to determine what I was seeing. at
most there were a half dozen still sandpipers on the mudflats and the
remainder were
I counted 70 Stilt Sandpipers at the lewiston sewage ponds today. there
were also greater and lesser yellowlegs, killdeer & snipe to be seen.
for those of you who aren't aware the remaining pond is being dried up. it
is about half water and a half mud now. the next few weeks should be
amazing for
