(Sorry for this being slightly late but my earlier attempt to e-mail this from 
the field went awry for some reason).

Kim Eckert's Minnesota River Valley MBW group found an adult male Summer 
Tanager around 10:00 a.m. this morning near the town of Courtland in NW Blue 
Earth County.  The bird was found a little NE of the intersection of Hwy. 68 
and Blue Earth County Rd. 47 (turn left or north on the gravel road at this 
intersection less than a quarter mile).  There's a reclaimed gravel pit here 
and the Tanager was at the bottom of a hill near a bunch of bee hives.  Several 
photographers in our group got good pictures of it and they will post to the 
MOU website later today.
