During the pandemic, the MOU
Thanks to the many people who offered suggestions for gifts for a friend's
6-year-old nephew who is interested in birding. I compiled a list
(unedited), which I've copied below. Of special note is the MyBirdClub,
which seems like a great resource and group. Also, the gift of time is
invaluable;
Thank you to all who gave us advice on shorebird locations close to the
Metro. We went to the Jirik Sod Farms and birded that area. We basically
got skunked: saw a lot of starlings and killdeer (leading to a very weak
joke about "paging Dr. Killdeer"), a horned lark, and one Solitary
Sandpiper in
We want to thank all of you who gave us some advice, not too long ago,
regarding where to go in Arizona to photograph hummingbirds. We listened
to your advice and made all necessary arrangements to make the most of our
trip. We thought some of you might want to see the photographic results of
Hi everyone! I'm sure I speak for many Minnesota birders when I say THANK YOU,
Mike Hendrickson and Sparky Stensaas, for all of your frequent postings of
northern specialty species, and by stating exact locations where to find them!
Personally, they are extremely helpful to a birder like me

in response to my request about my search for a scarlet tanager.
My camping trip at St. Croix State Park occurred over the past couple
of days. I didn't find a tanager, but I had fun trying.

As spring migration ramps up and posts to birding list serves significantly
increase, I want to thank everyone for remembering to include enough
information in the subject heading to allow members the option of reading,

This has turned out to be an exceptional winter for Hoary Redpoll
in Minnesota, certainly one of the largest invasions on record. As winter
seasonal compilers for the MOU, Drew Smith, Paul Budde and I wish to thank all
