Just a few more comments on the pewee I heard at Buffalo River State Park in 
Clay County this morning.  It was giving a harsh "pheer" call and sometimes it 
was following it up with an odd less harsh call somewhat like the "Beeeiih" 
call on the Cornell web site.    
I don't know if the bird in question is a hybrid or if it's a pure Western Wood 
Pewee.  
  
I tried recoding the song as a video on my phone, but it's faint.  I can try to 
text to someone if they want to give it a try.  When I recorded there was the 
bird in question, a somewhat more distant Eastern Wood Pewee, an Alder 
Flycatcher and an American Redstart.  I think the in video it picks up only the 
bird in question and the redstart.
