After several migrating American Three-toed Woodpeckers were reported by various observers at Stoney Point and elsewhere NE of Duluth in October, two individuals have been seen foraging in a conifer stand at Stoney Pt during the past few days and might remain here for awhile. The site is on the E side of Alseth Rd ~100 feet or so N of Stoney Point Dr. Cindy Edwardson and I saw a male here late this afternoon, while others have reported two birds here recently.
