Also seen here in the woods north of Two Harbors, Lake County.
Showed up this morning. Hung around all day under the feeders with the red
winged blackbirds and grackles.
Have never seen one here before in the 25 years I've lived here.

I have been watching a Yellow Headed Blackbird for the last half hour. I am
on Park Point in Duluth and have not seen one in this area before. How
common are they in the northern part of Minnesota?

A female-plumaged Yellow-headed Blackbird appeared today in our yard
on W Kent Rd in Duluth. This species is relatively rare and/or local
in NE Minn, especially this late in the fall. Kim Eckert

A female yellow-headed blackbird has been visiting our feeders this
morning. It freely mingled with the cowbirds and red-wing blackbirds.
I have never seen this bird north of I-90, but Robert Janssen's list
indicates he has seen it in Kanabec County.
