Just Stopped by point Douglas park to see the long tail duck. She was out a
ways, but did get a pretty good look. As I was leaving, two White-winged
Scoters landed behind the restrooms on the lake. Life list for me.

Observed with Bruce Fall.
Reduced migration today due to more moderate winds. All species (not
all individuals), except Merlin recorded in Dakota County. Some
highlights included in my tally:
Bald Eagle: 94
Red-tail Hawk: 14
Red-shouldered Hawk: 3
Northern Harrier: 3
Wondering if anything interesting is being seen in Prescott/Hastings area of
late. I'm thinking of going searching for the grey partridge and wanted to
take in any other birds of interest while I'm down that way.
