Larry Wilebski reported a Varied Thrush in Lancaster today. Location is
north of the railroad tracks- best place is north of Bergstrom's gas
station- anywhere there are crabapple trees with fruit on them.

Minneapolis. Its picture is on "Recently Seen".

Ron Erpelding called and said he had refound the Black-legged Kittiwake in
the same location as Bill Unzen reported yesterday. He first saw the bird
on the water at 11:20 and later saw it flying at 11:45. He also reports the
roads are good and the sun is shining there.

Stoney River Forest Road is not plowed and I saw very little sign of
pending logging activity that would require plowing. It was fine but
Whyte Road was dicey...and more snow expected.

The two White-winged Scoters found on Vadnais Lake by Paul Budde and Mark Ochs
were still present today at 10:30. They were on the southeast part of the
lake. There is parking at the picnic area on Vadnais Blvd.

Lee French told me that his Father has had a Summer Tanager for about a week.
Directions are go South of Lamberton on County 6 about 2 miles to the Redwood
Co. amd Cottonwood Co. line turn left and go East about a mile, it is the first
