I spent much of today visiting various spots in southeast Minnesota, in
search of birds and some slightly warmer weather.
I saw two Snowy Owls in southwestern Dodge County this afternoon, in the
same area where they've been reported previously. Both were sitting out

A birder from IL reported a Boreal Owl actively hunting about 9 am along Stone
Lk Rd approximately 300 yds E of CR7.
I could not relocate it at 9:30am
Barred Owl has been seen recently along Arkola in the bog just E of Owl Ave

Hello - After taking a leave of absence from Friday afternoon until this
morning the Towhee appears to have something against weekend birders.
We also did pick up a dusting of snow last night so that could have brought
him back in.
All who missed him are welcome to try again!
