Perldap). After installing it I try to compile example programs with the

Is there a way to get the iPlanet 4.X & 5.0b+ DS version programmatically
using LDAP?
If not, is there another way or a queriable rootDSE attribute which may return
the server version?

Is the changelog always deleted when the log changes option is disabled on
the iPlanet directory server, or could an obsolete changelog exist after the
option is disabled?
This relates to both versions 4.X and 5.0b+.

I need to remove through the JNDI an entry and all it's "sons".
(when i remove each entry alone (about 300) it takes me about 10
sec.)
I thought to use import - does anyone know how to use the import in
JNDI
