Where is your Conn.pm ? If it's not within the paths of @INC, you can specify
an additional path by 'perl -I(path) scriptname'... (no need to specify
parenthesis around path).

Just curious.. do you have the entry dc=uah, dc=edu ? Adding a suffix
dc=uah ,dc=edu under Configuration | Database-settings isn't s
enough.
Try adding
dn: dc=uah,dc=edu
objectclass: top
objectclass: domain
dc: uah
first, and then ou=people container and see if that works.
