I installed Ximian Gnome 1.4 on a Redhat 7.1 on a Dell Latitude CPx laptop.
Mozilla 0.9.3 ran just fine. I futzed around with Gnome, configuring the hell out of it, and adding Netscape 4.7. Now, when I try to run Mozilla I get the following helpful little ditty: "The program must close to allow a previous installation attempt to continue. Please restart" I "locate(1)d" all the mozilla temp files I could and removed them - no change I logged out - no change I rebooted - no change I tried uninstalling everything Mozilla and/or Netscape, and then reinstalling - no change. Anyone got any clues as the next step (and please don't tell me to uninstall/reinstall the whole OS!) Toby Ferguson
