In desperation, largely because I have a Java script in my personal home
page that I wanted to be able to view, I eventually resulted to the
following drastic measures, which seem to be working (on Win 98):
In Control Panel, I uninstalled Mozilla and all versions of Java listed.
Then I manually
I mistakenly installed Aphrodite in Mozilla 0.9.5 under Win98, thinking
it was just like some of the other chromes out there and might work. it
never worked right, and now I can't get rid of it completely. It's gone
from my themes list in Preferences, but I still get error messages
reporting
