I followed the instructions in gdkxft site- installed version 1.4, got
gnome to have AA fonts. Then I tried the 0.9.6 patch for mozilla on gdkxft
site and got errors about missing methods in the libgfx_gtk.so from the
patch.
Has anyone got AA to work in mozilla; if so, how ?
I am sharing java from Sun's JDK with mozilla & netscape.
In the plugins dir (under netscpe/mozilla), create a link to the java
plugin from sun ( wherever that is installed). You can find the
instructions at www.javasoft.com or on netscape.

Has anyone been able to get them ?
I am using LM 8.1 & have AA fonts enabled on gnome/gtk.
I use 0.9.4 (M) and 6.2.1 (N).
I installed gdkxft-1.4 and the lib from 0.9.6 patch for mozilla DIDN'T work.
TIA,
vasu
Java is very fast in mozilla using latest plugin ( jdk 1.4 beta)- faster in
fact than the 1.1 java in older netscapes.
