It is in the Application Data directory (that is usually
c:\windows\application data\mozilla or c:\documents and
settings\username\application data\mozilla).

Where is the registry.dat file? How does Mozilla know about it? I
uninstalled 0.9.7, then installed 0.9.8. Somehow, 0.9.8 knew about my

had a problem with any of the main point releases. uninstall first then
install no matter jeroen says.

I just installed the talkback installer over a .97 and it is working
perfectly.
note that it is advisable to uninstall previous versions or at least install a
new version to a seperate directory because there might be conflicts and
problems due to differences between versions (specially if one has installed
addons and have done some customization).
