Thank you for finding that for me and posting the work around. Although
the workaround allows the hover to function, clicking on a link then
locks the link to the hover color ignoring my CSS specification.
Hopefully the forthcoming patch will correct these behaviors.

Ah I misread, or read what I wanted to read. I was meaning the mouseover
event does set your status line. I'll look again at the hover.
