Other than the obvious stuff about FOSS being good,
he suggests that the real impact is in forcing Microsoft
to address security.

This all makes sense;  the emphasis is not on being
secure - but on being better where it matters.  As
there is no such thing as absolute security, being
better and more secure than Microsoft is a useful
measure.
