it's only a display problem - the secure connection works as it would without the tabs. this bug was fixed after 0.9.9, so it doesn't occur in recent nightly builds, and will not happen in 1.0 (or 1.0 RC1 for that matter) details at http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=101723 -- michael
