Building on Fedora Core 17 x64, GCC 4.7.0. I get this error when running tuneup:

I'm not sure how that ended up in a release. But it is a bug indeed.
Looks like we'll need a 2.5.2 to fix this.

./configure --prefix=/opt/local
The error message is:
