The Minneapolis School Board will vote September 30 on a proposal to
build a new middle school on the site of the Dowling Community Garden.
The Dowling Community Garden was established as a "Victory Garden"
Between Frankiln and I believe 28th street, they made 1st av s two way.
I have always found it odd that 1st av s heading north at 29 was forced
over onto jammed up nicollet. Now this additional change make 1st even
more constrained. Is this part of some master plan?

These lists are always amusing to me. Conde Nast, relatively recently (in
the last three months) came out with a list indicating that Minneapolis was
the #2 healthiest city in the nation based on percentage of population with
athetlic club memberships and/or participation on sports and recreatio
There used to be this guy with a hockey stick rollerblading around
Minneapolis. I saw him around the U of MN campus, Uptown, and the lakes.
He looks to be in his 40s, long hair in a pony tail.
He would go around town and gather up garbage on the street and sidewalk
with his hockey stick.
