So is there a "top ten" list of officers most frequently complained about at the CUAPB website? Can you provide a link to that?CUAPB maintains a 24-hour hotline for police brutality incidents. We meet with people, take photos of their injuries, etc. Our hotline gets 15-20 calls a week on a slow week. Two things that strike us about the calls that come in: a lot of the same kinds of abuses over and over AND we hear the same cop's names over and over. I'm sorry, but that many unrelated people, who don't know each other, and that many different kinds of people (everyone from African American youth to grandmothers, to U students, to African new arrivals/Somalis, to Latinos, to poor whites, etc.) cannot be making up that many variations of the same stories. At some point, the "preponderance of evidence" begins to show that we have a problem. . . . Michelle Gross Bryn Mawr
(It does little good to claim to collect these names, if you don't make them available to people.)
