If a private company wastes money, whether large or small, it's none of our business.
When a public company wastes money, whether large or small, it is the business of its Board and shareholders. When the government wastes money, at any level, it's the business of the citizens and taxpayers. Owning equity in a company, whether public or private, is VOLUNTARY. Higher standards apply to PUBLIC MONEY because being a taxpayer is NOT VOLUNTARY.
