Hi Prits,
There is four ways of invoking the runmqsc on an AS/400.
1. Create a source text file with a script containging
your mq commands and use it as input on the
STRMQMMQSC command.
2. If you have MQ 5.3 installed use the wrkmqm command
to get a list of all qmgrs on the server.
On UNIX systems, you have to be a member of the group mqm to start
runmqsc.
You don't need any other authority.
Maybe it's the same on OpenVMS.
Regards,
Gunter

Thanks you all. Thats what i thought too, but it was kind of ambiguous in
the IBM license thing and i am not that good at reading between the lines :(.

We are using WMQ 5.3 with CSD04.
We have four Queue Managers(3 on NT and one on AIX Unix) defined in a
Cluster environment. And, One of NT Queue Manger is connected to SAP via
R3 Link.
It works fine, but sometime, SAP cannot put a message on the R3 Link Queue
and we get a Reason Code 2085. In
I will be out of the office starting April 19, 2004 and will not return until April 26, 2004.
I will be in training on these days. I will check my voicemail in the afternoon and evening and check my e-mail in the evening. I will respond to any issues as soon as I can. Thanks.
I have it working on MQ V5.3 and AIX V5.2. I didn't have any problems. Note
that you need to use x-windows.

Anyone care to share the lifetime they assign to a certificate used by a
queue manager that has SSL channels? Also, how do you handle certificates
expiring when a OS/390 queue manager communicates with many distributed
queue managers?

I'm in

enter a "Connection Name", what is it looking for? I'm

That
is the hostname of the Unix Server. If the QM is listening on a port other than
1414, append it on to the end, like so:

Sounds like the MCA has a message or two under syncpoint. Is the channel in
doubt?
