Looks like you are _not_ using the "right" compiler. Put the proper compiler
in your path before /usr/ucb and try again OR explicitly specify correct
compiler in the Makefile. By proper compiler I mean SUN's workshop C
compiler or (almighty) GCC.
export PATH=/opt/SUNWspro/bin:$PATH
