Yep. Basicly you isolate your backend legacy file IO into CICS cobol programs which can be accessed via the equivalent of an EXEC CICS LINK with a COMMAREA. You
#x27;s sake isn't a good thing.

We're looking at MQ series to handle an interface between an external vendor and our OS/390 CICS all VSAM legacy systems. We don't currently have a DPL "API" to do the back end stuff. Now it seems to me that since we have to write the back end an
