I hope Friday night I'll be ok to update this page. November 10, 1999 - 14:50GMT, @660, 3rd update - Ademir Carchano Announces New Multi-purposoe Accelerated Board! Today Ademir announced his newest project! It's characteristics are: 1.Z180 board, running up to 33Mhz (the one he made runs at 8, 16 and 32 Mhz) 2.256Kb of RAM 1.128Kb of SROM... Better, a RAM that can be protected throught a sequence of OUTs 2.128Kb of normal RAM, for read and write. 3.The RAM can be expanded up to 4Mb, using the same Memory Mapper system, or it can be addressed by the Z180, using 1Mb linear. 4.Two serial interfaces up to 512Kbps, 2 DMA channels, 16 bit counter/timer (using every Z180 features) 5.One of the serials is already in the DB-9 format, with RS232 signals 6.There is two modes to exchange data with the MSX: 1.Direct Access: the MSX will see the board as a slot with 4Mb of Mapped RAM. When using this type of access, the Z180 will be inactive and the MSX takes the control 2.Port Access: the MSX sends and receives informations to and from the board throught a bidirections 8 bit port, like the printer port, including strobe and busy. This method allows transmission between the CPUs without stop the processment. A Z380 version of this board is "on the run"... (-: - Victor's MSX page updated...
