Oh, I'm sorry, I should learn to read better :-) Anyway, I'd be
surprised if they use some other synchronization method than the S55
(which follows the IrMC standard).

That is in one of the newly added files. Perhaps you need to rerun ./autogen.sh

OK, then could you try one or more of the following:
* Run "gdb multisync", and then "run". When MultiSync locks up, press
CTRL-C, and type "bt".
